What is the difference between indoor and outdoor drapes? All of our outdoor fabrics, materials and hardware are designed to withstand the harsh elements of nature. There are also numerous factors in regards to production and material selection that are important for outdoor drapes and accessories. We address all these concerns so you will have peace of mind knowing you will enjoy your outdoor living area for years to come.

Draperies:
Common outdoor styles are grommets, rod-pocket, tab-top and pleated draperies. We use special thread with a UV inhibitor to prevent “thread rot”. All seams and hems are made to be tough and durable. All our fabrics are designed for outdoor use. This prevents fading, deterioration of fabrics & allows ease of cleaning. Fabrics include: SunBrella, Bella Dura, Outdura, Sun-N-Shade and others.

Hardware:
All our hardware is corrosion-resistant. We use powder-coated metal, stainless steel, aluminum as well as other options. Hardware choices include rods, rings, hooks, and just about anything else that will secure your draperies and add the decorative touch you’re looking for. It is important to use the appropriate finish in hardware, or rust can ruin your new draperies. We also make sure the installation & overall design will accommodate the wind & activities where they will be.

Cushions:
Custom cushions fit perfectly, can be coordinated to your draperies and can bring your entire look together. We use special “Fast-Dry” foam that is made for wet areas. This foam dries quickly and resists mold & mildew. Though it is more costly than traditional foam, it is a must for damp areas. We use the same outdoor fabrics as in our draperies, but also provide a beautiful selection of decorative trimmings to add to your cushions & pillows. We will make a template, if necessary, for your cushions & determine the best way to secure your cushions. We typically use ties, snaps, or Velcro to keep everything in its place.

Accessories:
Anything you use indoors can be adapted for outdoor use. Add custom placemats, table covers & other items for your outdoor dining and living areas.
